   First, let me introduce myself briefly : My name is Gaëlle Konak, I was born in St-Etienne (France) on the 28th of May 1981 from a Czech father (naturalised British) and a French mother. Since I was very little I would draw a lot, spending hours making up stories on a piece of paper with a few crayons. Later, I started writing a little poetry, inspired and touched by the authors I was discovering at school. I kept drawing and painting at a workshop in St-Etienne, supported by my "tutor" and friend Serge Brossi. Poetry started becoming a major part of my life during my teenage years, whereas painting was becoming more and more painful and frustrating until I finally abandonned it. Tortured by a wild sensitivity, creating was my only lifebelt.

   This site is a gathering of my work of this period of my life, dating back a few years now. I don't paint nor write much anymore today...
